Controllable pitch propellers
Controllable pitch propellers (CPPs) are used when performance requirements exceed what a fixed pitch propeller can offer. The pitch is adjusted during sailing until the optimal setting is achieved in relation to speed, optimising fuel consumption, engine load or manoeuvring capabilities.
A controllable pitch propeller normally offers better performance than fixed pitch propellers at all rotational speeds. Our high performance propellers are specially designed and fine-tuned to comply with the highest tolerance classes. The propellers are supplied with 3 or 4 blades and diameters up to approx. 1,700 mm.
